My ‘Curry Sauce’ goes well with Steaks, Roasts, ‘Tonkatsu’ and ‘Chicken Katsu’, and many more, and it is easy to make using Japanese Curry Roux Blocks. Today I enjoyed Tacos with the Curry Sauce, just for a change.
Tortillas *OR Flatbreads
Roast Chicken *I bought it from a shop today. You may wish to cook Chicken yourself. Season it simply.
Shredded Cheese *e.g. Cheddar
Vegetables *e.g. Lettuce, Tomato, Capsicum, Cucumber, Onion, Coriander, Corn, etc.
1-2 teaspoons Oil
1/2 Onion *finely chopped
1 small clove Garlic *finely chopped
1 teaspoon grated Ginger
1 Tomato *finely chopped
1/2 cup Water *plus extra
20g Curry Roux (Sauce Mix)
- To make Curry Sauce, heat Oil in a saucepan over medium heat, cook Onion for a few minutes. Add Garlic and Ginger, and cook until lightly browned. Add Tomato and cook for a few minutes.
- Add Water and Curry Block, and cook until the Curry Block is dissolved and thickened. Add extra Water to achieve the required thickness.
- Enjoy with shredded Chicken and Vegetables of your choice.
