This delicious ‘Apricot Sauce’ can be made so easily using Dried Apricots. If you add more Sugar and less Water, it would be an instant Apricot Jam. This sauce goes so well with cheesecake, ice cream, pancakes, etc. I no longer buy Apricot Sauce or Apricot Jam.

Ingredients

100g Dry Apricots
1/4 cup Caster Sugar
1/4 cup Water
1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
1 to 2 teaspoons Grand Marnier OR Cointreau *optional

Method
  1. Place Dried Apricots in a saucepan, cover with water and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes or until Apricots are soft. Discard the water.
  2. Add Caster Sugar, Water, Lemon Juice and liqueur. Blend until smooth.
