You can use this Coffee Syrup for Cakes, mix in Drinks, pour over Ice Cream, or drizzle over Jelly Desserts such as Panna Cotta. You can make Espresso using your favourite Coffee Beans, but Instant Coffee Granules is good just good enough.

1/4 cup Espresso *OR 1/4 cup Hot Water & 1 teaspoon Instant Coffee Granules
2 to 3 tablespoons Caster Sugar
1 teaspoon Brown Sugar
1 teaspoon Brandy, Whisky, Rum, etc. *optional

  1. Place Coffee, Caster Sugar and Brown Sugar in a small saucepan and mix well. *Note: You may wish to add your favourite liquor.
  2. Bring it to the boil over medium heat, then lower the heat and simmer for a few minutes or until the syrup thickens slightly. Remove from the heat. Cool completely before use.
